GENERAL BODY MINUTES

April 12, 2005

1. Safeer thanked all of the members of MSA and Villanova Faculty who assisted with the Chinar Basketball Tournament

2. Safeer discussed the excess in funds available for the rest of the school year.

3. Safeer updated the members on the process of obtaining MSA T-shirts and asked ideas for MSA’s involvement in Ballon Day.

4.  Safeer informed the general body that public relations officer Asma Choudhry has almost completed the second official MSA newsletter of the year and needs member input regarding reactions and thoughts to recent activities of MSA.

 5. Samer raised confirmed that the Omani students on campus are ok and do not have any concerns.

 6. Safeer proposed that the Annual MSA Barbeque should take place on Saturday May 7^th at South Campus.

7. Safeer issues concerning the upcoming MSA executive board elections and passed out official rules for all candidates in the election.

8. Asad proposed the idea that the votes for election should be tallied by the advisor Dr. Chaudhry, Dr. Keita, and Safeer rather than just Safeer.

9. E-board voted (4/4) in favor of Asad’s election vote-count reform after a very heated discussion.
