MINUTES

April 5 2005

ATTENDANCE:

1. Safeer asked Mohammad to lead us in Tilawat.

2. Safeer entered right into the Chinar Basketball Tournament

3. Safeer said, the Tournament was going to be held on Saturday April 9 2005 and he asked who will be available to come

4. Waleed informed that the prizes are just about complete.

5. Aishat volunteered to come to the Tournament.

6. Waleed asked Mohammad to come and he said he would try his best

7. Nameer could not come due to conflicts as did Asad could not come due to MCAT practice exam

8. After the Chinar tournament was discussed, we moved on to finances and Asad said the finances are fine.

9. For activities, the MSA will be sponsoring a booth for Balloon Day. However, we did not know any activity.

10. Waleed did not agree with the hoopa hejabi idea, but Safeer suggested cricket.

11. The problem with cricket was the ball. We were also informed that in order to make the ball soft, you put water into the ball-thanks to Waleed Shah.

12. Mohammad suggested golfing and Asad said he will check he has the equipment at home, but his golf club was too big.

13. The discussion was ended with the activity of golf and if not available, then cricket.

14. Public relations request information for the Islamic Awareness Week, and Safeer on behalf of Asma Choudhary that we need more submissions to Al-Rislalah.

15. Omani concerns and issues said they were meeting this week to discuss some issues.

16. Samer stated that a meeting was not held prior due to time conflicts.
17. The web is being updated Safeer stated and our webmaster Christopher Byrnes or otherwise known as Yago has been up to date with the web.

18. The meeting was adjourned at 6:00pm.
