We the College Democrats of Villanova University work to promote and
enrich the Democratic Party through the means provided to us by our
members and the broader community on campus. We seek respectful and
productive dialogue, between all persons regardless of background, creed
or lifestyle, leading to real progress in the mission of life, liberty
and the pursuit of happiness. We take seriously our place in a catholic institution, regardless of any member's individual affiliation with the Catholic Church. With this in mind we fully acknowledge the separation between church and state, and work to maintain that clear distinction for the sake of all parties, religions and people. We work to elect Democratic Party candidates to office as part of our civic responsibility to this nation and to the world, that these United States of America shall be a force of unity and not division, of prosperity and not destruction. Through our efforts helping the Democratic Party, at local, state and national levels, we also help to develop leadership and ideas for the future of our party and our country. |

| Villanova's Democratic Leadership Council was established in December 2006, charged to continually maintain the Democratic party presence on campus and develop future party leadership through paid and volunteer opportunities for campaigns and other political organizations off campus. We meet weekly, and remain always open to the community as an outlet for civic participation and development. | |||
